Day 4 : Weights to finish
I was working from home today, which would normally afford me a cheeky lunchtime bikeride. Today I thought I could get some gardening done, we went to the park in the evening, and I cleared the kitchen and mopped the floors. All of this I thought would make a meaningful contribution to the days' target. Sadly not, and once again, found myself at that time of 10ish pm with over 130 calories to get rid of, using weights.
Still, this is what this challenge is about - pushing that little bit extra when ordinarily I'd be heading to bed with the reasoning "sleep and recovery are really important, so I should really be getting my head down".
So, heading off to the garage, I got some INJA drum and bass on, and just repeated chins, pressups, bicep curls, tricep extensions. It seemed to take forever. Again, I'm not 100% sure how the activity rings are calculated, but I don't want to game the system (yet!), so I kept at it. It's still hard, and often I over-estimate how much I can do on a set... pick the weight up "yeah, I can do 10 reps" but then get to about 6 and there's nothing there. I suspect that there's a lot of growth to be done there... again, that's why I'm doing this!
